Greetings from the Tarana Foundation!
We have received a sum of LKR. 7.2 million as donations for this project since our previous donation last year.
We had a meeting on the 12th of September 2023 with the Consultant Orthopedic Surgeons at the Lady Ridgeway Hospital (National Premier Hospital for Children) and identified their immediate requirements.
We hope to send a letter to the probable medical suppliers calling for bids during the next 10-15 days. We will give them time till the first week in October to submit their bids. After evaluation of bids, we will award the contract to the supplier. We will evaluate the bids to be as per specifications and also cost-effective.
It generally takes at least 90 days for these suppliers to get down this specialized equipment after the bid is awarded. Upon receipt of the equipment, we will make arrangements for the donation to the Hospital.
We also, seek your kind assistance at the "Little by Little" Campaign run by GlobalGiving from the 18th of September (at 00:00:00 EDT) - the 22nd of September (23:59:59 EDT). All donations up to USD 50 will attract a 50% bonus from GlobalGiving. Any donation would support the balance of equipment required by the Orthopedic Unit of the Lady Ridgeway Hospital.
GlobalGiving is a registered nonprofit charity in the United States and England and Wales. Donations made by eligible donors in the United States can claim a tax-deductible contribution on United States tax returns. Donations made by eligible donors in the UK can claim Gift Aid (an extra 25% added to eligible donations by the UK Government) when they donate in GBP.
