Dear Generous Donors and Supporters,
We are pleased to provide you with an update on our project titled “Life-Saving Support for Displaced People in Ethiopia.”
Thanks to the generous support from GlobalGiving and its partners, we have been able to provide critical aid to communities devastated by landslides in the Gofa Zone's Kencho-Shacha area of southern Ethiopia. These landslides have claimed hundreds of lives, displaced thousands, and forced many from their homes. During this reporting period, we have delivered essential supplies, including household items, food, water, and medical aid, to 50 women affected by this tragedy to help alleviate their urgent needs.
Additionally, I am proud to report that we have reached out to 21 vulnerable children who were once lost on the streets under the same project. We have provided them with food, medicine, clothing, hygiene supplies, and safe shelter within a loving family environment. Just a month ago, the beautiful children of Ethiopia, pictured above, were homeless and facing unimaginable challenges. Thanks to the generous support from GlobalGiving, its partners, and the contributions from individuals and foundations, their lives have been transformed forever.
These children are now on a new path, including attending kindergarten and primary school. I am happy to report that all the children at MHO are in good health and thriving in a nurturing environment. Without your help, these women and children could have faced the horrors of trafficking, abuse, or exploitation.
Your generous donations have not only facilitated their transition from the streets but have also addressed their nutritional needs and provided educational materials, laying the groundwork for a strong early childhood education.
We will continue to keep you informed as this project progresses, sharing inspiring stories of resilience and hope. Together, we are lighting the way for a brighter future for Ethiopia's vulnerable women and children—one act of kindness at a time.
Thank you for your continued support.
