Lilipad's Quarterly Report

By Jakub Gronowski | Fundraising & Project Manager

Dear Friends & Supporters of Lilipad,

Are there any music or poetry fans among you? I am sure there are plenty, and we have something very special for you.

For the last couple of months, we have been conducting rap and poetry workshops, during which refugee children in GU Britz delved into traditional Middle Eastern poetry, crafted their own rhymes, and eventually wrote and rapped their own songs. The results are great, and we want to share them with you. Join us for our closing event on July 20 at Refuge Worldwide to listen to the songs the kids recorded, see some live performances, and meet our team. More information is available on our Instagram account and EventBrite.

Can’t make it this time? No worries! We are already planning a second round of these great workshops, starting in August.

We are also preparing to conduct another series of storytelling workshops at GU Columbiadamm. They will take place at the end of July and will feature a mobile photo studio that the kids love and enjoy so much. This time our focus will be on refugee children from Ukraine. Get ready for lots of photos!

Additionally, we are planning to expand our reach in Morocco. So far, we have opened two libraries in our founder’s native country. In the coming months, we will open two more libraries, provide them with multilingual books and learning materials, and organise educational workshops in them.

We are definitely excited about what’s ahead in the coming months!

Most importantly: thank you again for your support! None of this would be possible without your donations over the past seven years. And remember: our crowdfunding campaign remains open, and we continue to welcome donations—every little counts a lot.

Yours,
The Lilipad Team
