Impact of the Water tank construction The supply of water has been a challenge to the people where by many people have limited access to water mostly those who stay in rural areas. The challenge of the water search in these communities has been so much on the children who tend to move long distances to search for water for home use. “we have been struggling a lot with our children going to get water as the children get it from very far,. They have been disturbed as they come back from school tired yet they have to search for water. Sometimes the boreholes fail to work and they have to go down to the forest for water yet it’s getting dark. But for this water tank that has been constructed, we are so happy as we have water near us, now our children are relaxed a bit and can concentrate on their books” One of the Lent project beneficiaries said. With the water source being 2 kilometers and over away from the house holds the children spend hours each day walking to get water. This lack of water has affected the education of children and their social life without leaving behind the insecurities that they face when they are in search for water like being kidnapped, raped, early marriages and others. “Water has been a very big and heavy challenge for us. Sometimes we have been home without water. The taps that where constructed for us could take like three weeks without water. But this which has been done for us has helped us so much because I was even hoping to rear hens but I couldn’t because of the water shortage. But now since we got the water tank, we can do a lot of things.” Another Beneficiary said. We feel proud when the work that’s has been done through Another Hope Children’s ministries makes an impact to the lives of the beneficiaries. This life changing project would not have been possible if it wasn’t by the effort of our dear donors who give a helping hand to make sure such miracles happen in people’s lives. Tim, Jane and the team of family and friends, thanks so much
