Hello Friends,
When we initiated this project to build a learning center to serve the community of San Miguel Viejo, we had no idea of the hurdles we would face. Our plans to execute this project changed over the years. Our first set back was the Pandemic. As life returned to "normal" and as our community grew, their needs changed. We recognized this.
We formed groups for the mother's and parents. We added workshops and classes and profesional teachers to help meet the needs of the community. We helped some children who dropped out of the formal schooling to achieve their diplomas in Elementary and Middle school. We serve, on any given day up to 60 children and 15 mothers in a variety of classes and workshops.
We are about to inaugurate our Learning Center learning center in the weeks to come. I invite you to stay tuned, watch for the update and soon you will see the completed learning center that YOU, have helped build over these years with your caring donations.
Nothing makes me happier than to see this project so close to completion. Here's a snaek peak of San Miguel Viejo's Community Center and some of the community we serve.
