We hope this reports finds you well.
After a rocky start of the year due to COVID peaking once more, we were able to begin classes in February by going to the comunities.
As you know “LAI va a las comunidades” (LAI Goes to the communities) was created as an alternative during the pandemic, since our students could not come to our facilities we reached out and went to their communities. And finally after two years, we are back home at our beloved CAI (Center for the integrated Arts). A beautiful space deigned for the teaching of the arts. A place were our students have all materials, resources and equipments they need.
This reopening gives us once again the possibility to reunite the different comunities that have been stranged for two years. Our teachers and counselors are finally together in the same place.
The Jose felix Ribas community was the most affected during this pandemic. They were not able to find a common space to continue the classes, hence it was impposible to execute the program. However they are back to our classrooms and eager to continue learning the different discilplines that make up our “LAI”.
We will maintain or “LAI va a las comunidades” program as a safeguard for future needs and a special edition of some activities. We will forever cherish the experience of having visited our students and their parents in their homes. However the excitement and furfillment of seeing our classroms full again is amazing!
Finally we just wanted to say THANK YOU from the bottom of our hearts for making all of this possible.
See you very soon
Please help us spread the word.
