By Kirsten Rachman | Assistant Project Manager
Dear friends,
There has been good technical progress since our last report in the solarisation of the community dairy in Terat, the local business which ORS-FM Maasai will be partnering with to receive more reliable access to energy. The solar panels are fully wired up, and much of the wiring of the inverters has also been completed. We are hoping that the diary will be functioning in the next couple of months, ready for peak production time at the end of the rainy season.
The completion of the wiring at the dairy will also ensure that ORS-FM has access to a reliable source of power, enabling the radio station to continue transmitting vital information to the Maasai community, and making best use of their recently acquired longer-range transmitter.
As ever, if you would like to share this project with your friends and family, please do so that we can continue to support the vital work of ORS-FM in supporting the Maasai community. We, and ORS-FM, will be very grateful for any support!
With warmest regards,
Kirsten and the SVRG Team
