3000 seedlings of Eucalyptus and Gravelia so far raised and ready for transpolanting. In August 2022, we received support of tree seeds from National Forestry Authoirty (NFA) of Uganda in support of our project to establish a tree nursery in Katakwi district of Eastern Uganda. This was positively received by the local government adminstration who offered us 30X30 square metres of land to establish the tree nrusery. We are happy to report that so far we have 3000 seedlings ready for planting and we will be giving out to Agroforestry farmers at free cost.
We hope to use this milestone to be a stepping stone to start raising indeginous tree species like Sheanut, Tamarind and others that are getting extinct. Unfortunately the cost of purchasing its seeds are extremely high and we count on your donations to help us restore our degraded land and avert the effects of climate change.
