Thank you—we can’t say it enough! Because of your generosity, people impacted by the recent floods in Japan were able to receive meaningful support from a trusted nonprofit organization in GlobalGiving’s nonprofit network.
The Japan Flood Relief Fund, in partnership with GlobalGiving’s crisis response partnership with Facebook, powered an emergency grant to Peace Winds Japan (PWJ). The organization was on the front lines of serving communities affected by the torrential rains and floods. This included performing search and rescue missions, distributing food and medical supplies, as well as offering sanitation products to those most in need.
Your support of the Japan Flood Relief Fund is advancing community-led recovery, and it means that communities affected by flooding in Japan received vital resources during these uncertain times.
This fund is no longer accepting donations, and this will be the last fund report of this kind from our team.
We hope you'll stay connected with our work through Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, and our Learn Library, where we regularly share stories about the incredible impact of the powerful GlobalGiving community. If you haven’t already, subscribe to get periodic email updates from our team here.
With gratitude,
Kyra and the GlobalGiving Team
