Congratulations!
The first Water Well built entirely with GlobalGiving donations! This is, in fact, water well number 221, from our project of providing clean water in Africa, the well is situated in the village of Bwalula in Uganda! Thank you!
The people of the village are very happy and greatful for the gift of clean water, they have been waiting for years for such water source in their village or near by. The new water well will be used also from the people in the villages around, as well as animals, birds, etc.
In spite of the fact, that most of Uganda is green, there is a lack of drinking clean water, because of the extreem poverty of most of the population. Usually, people are walking miles to fetch the water for their families and everyday needs. This water well will certainly change their life for much better.
We hope to have the opportunity to provide more clean water, by building hand pump water wells in Africa.
