Challenge

Tamar came to take care of the orphans after learning about Leadership Initiatives through her husband, and has described her goals in life as "giving assistance the best way I can to save lives, alleviate suffering and at the same building capacity and empowering myself and other people." She has been able to accomplish all of these things by helping the orphans. Now, Tamar would like to help the orphans even more by building them a new classroom.

Solution

Learning is critical to development and growth, and being able to learn in a nice, clean, and dry space is essential to being able to learn properly. Funds are needed to help build a new classroom for the children so that they can learn without hinderance. Learning should not be a privilege, it should be a right. And one day, these orphans will be contributing members of the community, and it is in everyone's best interest for them to be as knowledgeable as possible.

Long-Term Impact

A new classroom is an invaluable resource. Children will always need a place to learn, and a building is a product that will stand the test of time. Not only will the children currently in the Orphan Care Program be able to use this classroom, but all the orphans after them will be able to use it too.
