Dear Friend of Iraqi Children:
From Baghdad to Mosul to Basra to Erbil, your "COVID Rapid Response Fund" donations came to the rescue of extremely vulnerable children and their families during the darkest days of the pandemic.
With city curfews, schools closed, and jobs lost, so many families struggled. But thanks to you, orphans, street kids, disabled children, and other vulnerable kids and their families received large packages of food and hygiene supplies to help carry them through the crisis. Impact? We estimate you helped provide more than 20,000 meals along with thousands of dollars in masks, gloves, sanitizer, and other hygiene supplies to protect against COVID.
Your support also enabled ICF to pay needy mothers in Mosul a local wage of $10 for every 100 masks made which not only helped the community protect against COVID but also enabled these women to support their children. Hand sanitizer stations were set up and bottles of sanitizer given to students, like those at a girls school in Mosul, who gathered in September to sit for exams.
For your support for all these projects, we say "Shukran" - thank you, for caring and giving the gift of protection and support during COVID!
Gratefully,
Cindy Fogleman
