ArtForce Iowa hosted our annual exhibit #KNOWJUSTICE: The Collective on Friday, May 6th. It was our first in-person exhibit since 2019. The Collective sought to bring people together to show the strength and beauty of authentic and intentional unity. At a time like this when the world feels pulled apart, we believe coming together is the greatest step towards changing the world to be a more kind and loving place where everyone flourishes.
This year's exhibit featured over 50 local artists and collaborations between professional artists and youth artists who are english language learners. Youth artists explored their values and identities. Then learned how to collage where their collaborative works of art would be featured in the exhibit. Together, they created the portrait wall.
