Tyrants count on silence to hide their crimes. Help us shine a light on human rights abusers by supporting our coverage of the ICC and its work to bring justice for humanity's worst crimes.
The UN established a human rights framework to protect basic human life & dignity & created a permanent international institution, the International Criminal Court, to investigate & try the world's worst crimes - genocide, war crimes, crimes against humanity. The ICC has not received universal support, but if we expect to achieve a world where every citizen's freedoms & rights are protected, then we need to ensure full support for the ICC so criminals can no longer act with impunity.
This project helps build awareness of the ICC's work through our compelling coverage of the on-going trials at the court. Through our telling of the human stories, we can spread awareness, support and action.
Too often crimes against humanity happen in regions devastated by poverty & corruption & often go unpunished. Relying on nations battered by conflict is not enough. The ICC offers justice for crimes for which there is no commensurate retribution.
