Inclusion of children with disabilities matters

The project "Intellectual Disability Needs Attention in Sindh" aims to improve the lives of children with intellectual disabilities by providing essential rehabilitation, educational, and therapeutic support in underserved regions of Sindh. The generous funding from GlobalGiving has allowed NDF Pakistan to implement targeted interventions and improve access to specialized services.

Key Achievements

Therapy Sessions: Delivered over 300 sessions, including occupational, speech, and behavioral therapies, benefiting 120 children.
Capacity-Building Workshops: Conducted two workshops for 30 local therapists and caregivers, enhancing their skills in managing intellectual disabilities.
Community Awareness Campaigns: Reached 500+ community members, raising awareness of intellectual disabilities and reducing stigma in both rural and urban areas.
Education Support: Enrolled 20 children in inclusive educational programs, with tailored learning plans to support individual needs.
