We’re thrilled to share exciting updates from Maxton Strong School, a cornerstone of The Good Shepherd Agricultural Mission (GSAM). While GSAM encompasses many vital programs, this report focuses exclusively on the transformative growth of our school.
Our most significant milestone is the near-completion of our brand-new 14,000-square-foot Kindergarten facility, set to officially open in February. This wonderful new building will cater to our youngest learners, laying a strong foundation for their educational journey. Alongside this, we’ve made remarkable improvements across the campus: new garden beds, paved pathways, stadium stairs for our sports ground, and benches that enhance both functionality and aesthetics. A new playgroup, already serving seven enthusiastic young students, has been a resounding success.
We’ve also taken proactive measures to address annual monsoon challenges by installing new drainage systems, ensuring a safer environment for our growing student body, which is nearing 700 children across grades Playgroup to Year 10.
Looking ahead, we’re excited about upcoming projects that will further enrich the learning environment. Cricket nets will soon provide a dedicated practice space, and plans are underway to develop our existing sports grounds, expand our gardens, and invest in educational tools, especially in art and music. We also aim to build an undercover walkway to connect the Kindergarten to the main building, fostering better integration of facilities.
Of course, challenges persist. While the school itself is essentially self-sustaining, contributions to this fundraiser are vital for accelerating development and achieving the broader goals of the GSAM. We also continue to seek passionate educators and a skilled groundskeeper to join our team.
Ultimately, Maxton Strong School aims to empower the community of Banbasa by breaking the cycle of poverty through quality education. Every contribution to this campaign directly supports our mission of transformation.
Thank you for standing with us as we shape brighter futures!
