Dear Fundraising Partners,
The all-volunteer BridgIT Water Foundation has decided to wrap up this crowdfunding campaign. Thanks to our supporters, this fundraiser has been even more successful that we'd hoped, with over US$17,000 raised, which has allowed BridgIT to build 9 wells in rural Andhra Pradesh villages. Thank you so much.
This campaign has been active for over 2 years, which is longer than we'd originally planned, but since it has been successful, we left it open so more people could help us build safe, clean water systems in the villages. We are by no means stepping away from water wells in this part of India. In fact, it is just the opposite, as we are negotiating with a major corporation to support our Asian programs. This would be fantastic, because tens of millions of people in Andhra Pradesh State alone need access to potable water, and BridgIT wants to help the rural population there with the basic human right of suitable, accessible, and sustainable water.
BridgIT continues to build wells around the world, with a current focus in India, Nepal, Uganda, and Ethiopia. We are looking to expand into rural areas of Malawi in East Africa, plus villages in Myanmar and other Asian nations with the need for water projects. Our funding partnership with you is so valuable, so please continue to follow our work on Facebook, the BridgIT Water Foundation Website, and at GlobalGiving.
BridgIT has a current crowdfunding campaign on GlobalGiving with a focus on Chimpanzee conservation in western Uganda. We are getting close to our $8,400 goal, which will allow us to build 2 hand-dug wells so villagers won't have to access water in the chimp's diminishing habitat.
