Thank you for your contributions to the BridgIT Water Foundation's 2017 Andhra Pradesh fundraising campaign.  This fundraising campaign is still live.  So far we have raise enough funding to create 4 clean, safe water wells.  This is an excellent start, and these wells will be a huge improvement in the quality of life for thousands of people.

The project is still in the fundraising and planning stages, and has not yet moved to the operational stage.  Fortunately, BridgIT has an excellent relationship with NGOs in Andhra Pradesh with a focus on water projects that has been built up over a number years.  The sites for the upcoming wells have already been identified by BridgIT and its partners.  The normal vetting process has allowed BridgIT and its partners to be certain that the projects will meet certain requirements, including:

- Guaranteeing that people's human rights are recognized

- Allowing non-discriminatory, inclusionary access to the wells for all people in the villages

- Safeguarding children in all aspects of the projects

- Assuring that wells are environmentally sustainable

- Water User Committees (WUC) will be established to manage the operation and maintenance of the wells and equipment.

When the fundraising and planning stages are complete, the BridgIT and its NGO partners can quickly move to the operational stage.

Given the current stage of the project, this interim report is rather brief.  We will provide more information to our funders in the next project report.  Thank you for supporting BridgIT Water Foundation.
