Dear friends--
I had the opportunity to visit teachers at Nehemia School last month, and I wish you could have been there too. Seriously! Using funds raised through GlobalGiving and our other platforms, we were able to get new laptops for all the teachers who needed them, making their jobs much easier during a very difficult year. Group size limits meant that classes were divided all year long in the upper grades, with up to half of the students watching class online in an auxiliary classroom. At various times during the year, temporary lockdowns sent the whole school home. For both of these circumstances, the portability of the laptops made things much easier and better-- and, going forwards, the laptops will make a host of tasks easier and more efficient.
I got to be the one they thanked in person, with big smiles and great enthusiasm, but the thanks are for you, who joined me in supporting this campaign. In a challenging year, please know that you made a real difference for a hardworking group of teachers!
If you wish to continue supporting NG's education programs in Albania, you can do that here.
With gratitude,
Sarah Pita
