Dear friends,
Thanks to your generous donations, we have been able to purchase laptops for ten teachers at Nehemia School in Pogradec, Albania. At this time, although students are coming to school every week, distancing requirements within classrooms mean that some students are having to learn virtually in a separate location. This hybrid instruction model is far easier for the teachers to maintain using the new laptops. As cases of COVID-19 increase in Albania, both students and teachers are able to maintain schooling even if some of them are quarantined at home. COVID-19 testing results take several days; better tools for distance learning mean that students and teachers who have been exposed to the virus need not miss learning or teaching.
This campaign is ongoing, and many of our teachers still need laptops. You can still contribute here.
Be well,
Sarah Pita
