The Social and Medical Improvement program Christmas parties happened over the past couple weeks. The first celebration was held for the children involved in the program, they spent a morning together eating, dancing, singing, crafting, playing, and spending time together. They also receive gifts!
An additional celebration is held every year for the women involved in the program. Both clients themselves as well as the mothers of some of the younger clients. These women are not always in a position to be able to spend time with one another in a joyful and celebrating environment, so it is an impactful time for them.
It is so important to show people that even if their lives are difficult, or they are made differently, they are still worthy of celebration and love. Every time we have an event with the special needs program it instills in them more and more how valued and cherished they are. Thank you for your part in helping them feel this way.
Warmly,
James Leithart
