With COVID-19 now in our communities, our programs beneficiaries like children and the youth have been greatly affected by the pandemic. We have therefore done the following to ensure that our beneficiaries are protected: Working with the County government and the Ministry of Education, WE REACH CBO is providing urgent support to the most vulnerable communities through hygiene promotion and provision of liquid hand-washing soap. We are distributing soap to the public places including hospitals, markets and prisons. Alongside these short-term measures WE REACH is also focusing on the sustainable activities to prevent and manage the disease especially when schools open such as training of school community members e.g School administrators, teachers and children at the community level This pandemic period has seen the rise of teen pregnancies cases. This is because most children are not in school and are engaging in risk sexual behaviours. We have conducted integrated sensitisation training on COVID19 and sexual reproductive health.
