Dear friends and family,
Can you believe it? With your unwavering help and support, Alive Medical Services came out on top as the #1 organization during GlobalGiving’s Time-release Bonus Day that happened last week on September 21st, 2016! We competed against 3,388 other worthy causes to attract the most number of donors and the most dollar amount in donations that day. With 90 donors, we received $8,430 dollars in matching donations from GlobalGiving, and a total donation amount of a whopping $38,605 in that single GlobalGiving Bonus Day! This was the most money raised by any organization that day, for which GlobalGiving awarded us an additional $1,000! We are forever grateful for our wonderful supporters who made this reality possible, and are so excited to put these donations to good use towards the nutritional needs of our clients.
With these donations, Alive Medical Services plans on increasing access to Ready-to-Use Therapeutic Foods (RUTFs) for our severely malnourished clients who have been without RUTFs since May of this year due to the lack of funds. We are also planning on increasing capacity in our gardening groups so that our clients can become self-sustainable and live a dignified life.

We will also keep you in the loop for additional Bonus and matching days that will occur, that enable your dollar to stretch a long way! Now we are more confident than ever that with the care and generosity of people like you, we can in fact defeat HIV in Uganda!
