While funding for the construction of Solar-Powered Livelihood Center is still being raised, the Global Peace Foundation Philippines and the Local Government of Palompon continue to support in capacitating the community members in Palompon through trainings and seminar.
This quarter, we are happy to share that the Buenavista All-Lights Village is now registered at the Bureau of Internal Revenue. Acquiring the Certificate of Registration from Bureau of Internal Revenue gives the Association in Palompon the legal rights to operate their business. The certificate bears the Tax Identification Number (TIN) and the authority to print and issue official receipts. In compliance with the requirements of different national government agencies existing in the local, the association will be entitled to financial assistance because they can now print their official receipts.
On December 7, 2019, the Bureau of Internal Revenue District Office of Palompon Leyte also approved and issued the Certificate of Registration (COR) of Buenavista All-Lights Village Fisherfolks Association. A half day orientation of taxpayers was held and attended by the President and Treasurer of the Association. For now, the Association is categorized as tax exempted.
