There is not much more devastating for a community than to be covered with water from a hurricane. Everything gets ruined, and it takes a long time to recover. Being hit by back-to-back hurricanes compounds the disaster. The residents of Honduras endured just such devastation late in 2020.
Thanks to your generosity, we are able to respond and provide them with short-term needs, like food and clothing, and long-term needs, like new dwellings.
We have begun to make progress, but the path to renewal is long and arduous. The team is assembling packages of clothing to be distributed to around 200 people. You can see volunteers sorting clothing in the pictures. We are purchasing dry food and supplies for rebuilding. We are planning to begin building in San Pedro Sula, one of the hardest hit communities.
We are greatful for your generosity, and we will keep you updated as we make progress.
