Donors,
The LGBTIQ community in Uganda continues to face extreme hardship, with hunger becoming an increasingly urgent crisis. The Anti-Homosexuality Act of 2023 has led to widespread discrimination, making employment nearly impossible for many. Without stable income, most community members struggle to afford even the most basic necessities, including food with an environment change where we are being hit hard by drought.
Challenges Faced by LGBTIQ Individuals
1 No Employment, No Income
2 Growing Desperation & Mental Health Crisis
3 Survival by Any Means
Call for Action
The hunger crisis among Uganda’s LGBTIQ community is worsening. Without immediate intervention, more individuals will face severe health risks, exploitation, and even loss of life.
We urge continued support for food relief programs to sustain those who have no other means of survival.
Emergency food aid and nutritional support are essential to prevent further health complications.
Sustainable solutions such as economic empowerment programs are needed to provide long-term relief and offering of seedings and plants so that communities are able to grow enough food.
We appreciate your support for standing with us during these critical times.
Together, we can save lives.
