The halfway point of 2021 is nearly upon us and what a year it has been! Amidst the chaos and suffering caused by civil unrest, violence, gang activity and chronic poverty, HRI has continued to work diligently to rescue, revive and restore individuals, families and whole communities.
We could have taken a step back this year as many organizations did - security concerns and decreased donations have caused many to cease assistance to the world's most vulnerable. But it is during times of great adversity that real leaders emerge and great outcomes are made possible.
All of HRI's programs continue to work together to prevent the trafficking, abandonment and illegal migration of children in addition to specialized programs to prevent COVID! Our work focuses on addressing the root causes of these tragic realities. Our programs improve the nutrition, education, sanitation and safety of children, youth and adults. Elderly are being supported, cared for and loved in their sunset years.
We work with parents - most whom are single mothers struggling to feed their children even once a day - to improve their household incomes through training and micro-loans. Clean water, latrines and safe cookstoves are drastically improving the health of whole families.
The impact HRI is making in Haiti and Guatemala is being noticed, and we have YOU to thank for that.
Without your giving, our drive would be for naught. Without your prayers, our safety would be lost. Without your hope, we may feel defeated. But because of you, we are making a significant difference in the lives of children and families!
