How can I read if there are no books? (Indonesia)

Dear supporters,

We are delighted to share some exciting news with you in this project update. Currently, we are in the process of distributing 3 new library-in-a-boxes to three different locations. As a result, these sites will be equipped with over 100 leveled-reading books suitable for children of various ages. This achievement holds immense significance for us at Saya Suka Membaca as we strive to create an Indonesia where every child has the opportunity to learn to read and develop a love for reading. Access to books is crucial in achieving this goal, and the implementation of these three interventions will have a tremendous impact on the lives of these young learners.

At present, the team is busy gathering these 100 books per box. We are collaborating with various publishers and also utilizing our own books. We hope to have received all the books in the coming weeks so that we can proceed with the shipments.

As part of our core initiatives at Saya Suka Membaca, we are deeply committed to training and mentoring teachers across Indonesia. In the coming weeks, we are pleased to announce that we will be conducting training sessions for over 70 teachers in Kalimantan. This will also result in the expansion of our network with schools. We continue to make significant efforts to secure additional funding that will allow us to further expand the distribution of library-in-a-boxes to diverse communities and schools. We aim to provide you with a comprehensive update on these efforts in our next report.
