Hello there,
With funding limitations and the pandemic working against all NGOs where donors have been scaling back, these project funds have been helpful. While Bangladesh is severaly being affected by COVID-19 due to the country's poor insfrastructure (incuding health facilities and governance), overpopulation and mass poverty - the country has experienced difficult times to keep institutions open. ASF offices has been on lockdown, however, it had to respond to supporting its beneficiaries through creative ways and remote options. ASF doesn't have a work from home norm, and so this time has been challenging to figure out a way on reaching out to the survivors through social distancing. Thanks to the organisation's Notification and Referral hotline and the main numbers, acid survivors and other victims of violence have reached out to ASF during the pandemic requesting help and assistance. This help ranged from continuing their medical care from their attacks, and dealing with their additional mental health distress and food insecurity from the pandemic affects in the country.
We hope you find the addtional details in the attached report to the kind of support ASF has been able to give to its beneficiaries during these difficult times.
Thank you always and forever for your generous donations...!
Warmly,
The ASF Family
