With your help we began the 3rd Program for Free Therapeutic Riding on June 1st! We had three intense months of therapy sessions with our amazing group of children with disabilities.
This summer the children and their parents were coming at least once a week to our ranch. They got to pick a favourite horse, learn how to brush it and gave the horses lots of treats. Some like Johan even learned to saddle his favourite horse, Moby. The two are inseparable. Johan loves to pet Moby from the ground and when he is on his back. There is nothing the two love more than picking apples from our 70 years old apple trees and having a treat. Johan is diagnosed with epilepsy but that will not stop him from doing what he enjoys and helps him live a better life – therapeutic riding. The story of Johan and Moby is only one of the many more to come.
We are also proud that our program is growing. Volunteers from around Europe applied to participate in it. For the past months we had young people from France and Portugal assist us in the therapeutic riding sessions and get to know the children. It is an amazing experience not only for the young volunteers but also for the children. It was a first interaction for the children with people from other nationality and culture. With more supporters our family is getting stronger.
With a little effort we will be able to continue providing therapeutic riding for children with disabilities for fee.
Join us and stay healthy and safe!
