Dear Friend,
As Equine-Assisted Therapies of South Florida gears up for the start of its Fall 2021 riding session, I would like to thank you for supporting our herd of horses and help to provide exceptional care for the heroes of our mission and partners in therapeutic activities for children and adults with special needs.
A father admits, “watching my son successfully work with such a beautiful horse is breathtaking.” Caring for our horses and creating “mission-ready” equine partners takes a village. From schooling to feeding, you have helped support horses that give not only their time, but also their spirits to benefit their human counterparts. Typical interventions for a person with a disability involves meeting in a clinic or hospital. Horses have helped EATSF challenge the status quo since 1982, allowing people of all ages and ability levels to witness the magic of working with horses and the equestrian sport.
Our mission is successful because of the synergy created between a participant and their horse. It is this partnership that goes a long way toward meeting individual goals where individuals can improve their balance and coordination, gain strength, build self-confidence, and develop their communication and social skills.
Please know that your contribution has made a tremendous difference. If you are able, we hope you will consider making another gift. We thank you for your support and I invite you to come out and see our mission in action when you are in our neighborhood. It would be our pleasure to show you around our campus and share with you our latest achievements.
With deep appreciation,
David Plath
