A 6.7M earthquake struck Hokkaido the northern island of Japan in the early hours of September 6, causing landslides which destroyed several villages in Atsuma Town and Mukawa Town. Operation Blessing is in the area delivering needed supplies and preparing to support a volunteer team that will help people clear their homes.
Homes near the epicenter have been destroyed or heavily damaged by landslides. Residents are need of supplies and help in clearing out their homes.

With increased natural disasters in recent years, residents are becoming increasingly aware of the fragility of modern infrastructure and the need to be prepared. Our efforts will help affected communities with emergency equipment and supplies, to get them through this crisis, and be prepared for the future.
