The 6.8M earthquake in Hokkaido last September severely damaged the town of Hobetsu's only Learning Center for children. Damage was beyond repair and so the building was demolished by the government last November.
Though our original plan was to provide a Trailer House for the Learning Center that caters to 47 children in the town, due to inadequate funding, we will be using the funds received to help the school continue their operations in a temporary rented facility.
It is important that the children can continue extracurricular learning in this small town.
