Project Report | Nov 1, 2022
Update Report Jul - Oct 2022

By Piter Panjaitan | Project Leader

In these few months, we are so glad that covid-19 did not have much impact to us, the government allowed us to not use mask anymore in outdoors, hospitality is so much better the last few months and we are so blessed to still available to distribute the food to all underprivileged kids and family In Bali.

2022 is still a difficult year to our Suwung Community Centre however this has very little impact on our Suwung Community Centre, the scavengers still have to pick up and sort the trash as usual. Our Community Centre at Suwung could not continue to operate through this difficult time without all the generosity of our sponsors and supporters. We want to send our gratitude to all of you who have been supporting us all these past few months.

We want to send our Gratitude to all of you who have been supporting us all along these few months.

We pray that you and your family are also well despite all of this pandemic. We know that everyone is struggling at this moment and we are very grateful that you still continue to support us through this difficult time. That’s why, we are still able to run our Centre and the Women Workshop in the Trash Mountain

We can’t thank you enough for your generosity and your kind heart. Below you can see a few updates for our Report. Feel free to share this report with your friends, family, and colleague so we can reach our target this year. Without all of your support we would not have reached our target!

  • Children attending the informal school show improvement in their ability to read and write in Bahasa and English, Computer, understanding of Math, developing in Sport, Music and Creativity
  • They show positive changes in their behaviour in terms of maintaining concentration in class, being respectful of teachers, a decline in aggressiveness towards other children, the ability to share with other children, to treat school property appropriately and be able to follow school rules.
  • These improved skills enable them to more easily transition to mainstream schooling where their success is greatly improved in staying long term.
  • It is expected that as a result of health education and free medical support the health and well–being of the beneficiaries is increase.
  • By receiving donations of clothing, personal toiletry items like shampoo, toothpaste, soap etc the standard of living is improving for the beneficiaries significantly.
  • We also distribute a regular 2 weeks of food supplies for the scavenger families in this difficult time which really helped them, and we also provided a meal every day for our kids who attending the centre.
  • We have 55 children average attendance per week. Currently, we have 3 staff who help to reach these families and bring them to our Centre and teach and educate the children and empower the mother’s.

We are looking forward to a better future for Bali and Indonesia. Thank You Very much for your support. God Bless

           Kind Regards
