Helping scavengers children & mum in Bali

At the Suwung Community Center, we are deeply committed to the principle of lifelong learning, a value that continues to shape the progress of both the children and mothers in our programs. Their dedication, hard work, and resilience serve as a testament to the power of education, and we take great pride in the positive changes they have achieved in their lives.

The second half of 2024 has been a particularly significant period as we work towards realizing our vision and mission. During this time, the children completed their first semester of school, with many showing remarkable progress in their academic development. These achievements highlight the transformative role education plays in their futures and reinforce our ongoing commitment to supporting their growth.

In addition to our focus on education, we remain steadfast in our support for the scavenger community in the area. We continue to address their specific needs, providing opportunities for learning and development that can improve their quality of life. This remains a key part of our mission as we strive to empower every individual in our community.

We have 55 children average attendance per week. Currently, we have 3 staff who help to reach these families and bring them to our Centre and teach and educate the children and empower the mother’s.
We are looking forward to a better future for Bali and Indonesia. Thank You Very much for your support.

The first semester of 2024 has been a great success at our center. We are delighted to share the latest achievements and progress over the past semester. The strides made by both our students and mothers have been remarkable, and we are excited to share these accomplishments with you.

We are especially thrilled to announce that all the children under our care have successfully advanced to higher grade levels. Their dedication to their studies has paid off, marking significant milestones in their academic journeys. Witnessing their growth and development has been truly inspiring.

At Suwung Community Center, we firmly believe in the concept of lifelong learning, and the achievements of both our children and mothers exemplify this principle. We take immense pride in their hard work, resilience, and the positive impact they've made in their lives.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to all of you who have supported us throughout these past few months. Your generosity and compassion have played a pivotal role in our journey. Below, you'll find a summary of our recent accomplishments. Please feel free to share this report with your network, as together, we can continue to make a difference in the lives of those we serve.

• Educational Progress: Children attending our informal school have shown significant improvement in various subjects, including Bahasa and English, Computer skills, Math comprehension, as well as advancements in Sports, Music, and Creativity.
• Behavioral Development: There has been a noticeable positive shift in the behavior of our students, including increased focus in class, respect towards teachers, reduced aggression, improved social skills such as sharing and cooperation, and adherence to school rules.
• Health and Well-being: Through health education initiatives and access to free medical support, we anticipate a marked improvement in the overall health and well-being of our beneficiaries.
• Standard of Living Enhancement: Thanks to generous donations of clothing and essential toiletry items, such as shampoo, toothpaste, and soap, the standard of living for our beneficiaries has significantly improved.
• Community Support: We continue to provide essential support to scavenger families by distributing bi-weekly food supplies, offering meals daily to children attending the center, and empowering mothers through educational programs. Currently, our center has an average attendance of 48 children per week, supported by a dedicated team of three staff members.
