Sometimes the reality of life breaks your heart; this was the case when this 24 year old young boy who couldn't walk without crutches due to ‘Ankylosing Spondylitis‘. His treatment was expensive and he couldn’t afford it. However, the Arthritis Care Foundation sponsored his both hip replacement surgeries worth Rs.290, 000. Today is able to walk again and live a normal life.
The disease can strike at any time and without proper care can lead to severe disabilities affecting patients for a lifetime. However, today through early diagnosis and extensive treatment rheumatologists can significantly help prevent disability and death in patients suffering from rheumatic diseases.
Arthritis Care Foundation (ACF) is working in collaboration with Fatima Memorial Hospital Lahore and serving many patients who cannot afford the treatment expenses.
If ACF had not provided this treatment, he would have not been able to walk; this has only been possible through the support of generous donors. Fatima Memorial Hospital hopes to continue its noble mission, please donate generously.
