Help us to secure medicine for Syrian patients

The project of securing medicine is considered one of the important projects that offer real support for hospitals and health centers in north of Syria, as it provides the essential medicine and medical supplies that would maintain the provision of life-saving medical services. The project would also alleviate the suffering of patients along with their families, especially in the harsh war circumstances, the overcrowding of camps as well as other locations with internally displaced people, the increased work load on the existing health centers, and the huge increase in number of beneficiaries from these centers.                          

The provided support by this campaign is divided into two categories in terms of the size of the health facility and the type of offered services, and they are:

1. Specialized hospitals (2 hospitals).
2. Primary Health Care Centers (3 centers).

Summary of Achievements and Details of Activities to date:

• Types and quantities of medicine and medical supplies have been identified.
• Needed steps for the procurement process of medicine and medical supplies was initiated.
• Provision of supplies started, and the delivery was done to SEMA’s central warehouse.
• Verification of medicine’s conformity to the defined specifications was done by the Medicine and Medical Supplies Committee.
• Delivery plan to the centers was developed, and medicine was sorted as per the agreed plan.
• All medicine and medical supplies were delivered to the centers benefiting from the project.

Project most important and prominent outcomes:

• Securing necessary medicine and medical supplies for the centers and the hospitals that are included in the project for a duration of at least one month.
• Providing a considerable support to maintain the provision of quality medical services by several hospitals and medical centers during the continual military campaigns and bombardment and the ceaseless displacement of people to relatively safer locations.
• Contributing to relieving the suffering of many families that had no source of income to cover their life basic needs.
• Contributing to improving the health system in general by bridging the gap of medicine shortage in the targeted locations.
