The team of players formed for the World Cup 2023 was selected from the players of Football Club Ternopil - ATO. All team members were veterans of combat operations in 2014-2016. At the moment, all of them are police officers who, if necessary, travel to the combat zone, escort humanitarian supplies and evacuate civilians.
We have received an invitation to Homeless World Cup-2024, which will be held in Seoul, South Korea in October. However, according to the terms of HWC, the same players cannot participate twice. Therefore, members of the team that traveled to Sacramento in 2023 cannot go this year. Many of them are now on official business trips, in the war zone in Ukraine.
But by tradition, one of the players may become a coach for the next team. At the moment there are negotiations on assistance in the coaching process with the administration of the city of Ternopil on the provision of uniforms, gym for training and the possibility of holding qualifying games.
