Our program to supply disinfectanting chlorine since April 2020, has been continuing. Though supplies of disinfectant has stabilized in the market, we are still receiving requests from welfare organizations such as homes for the elderly, children's care centers, who are needing the supplies to keep their facilities safe.
A recent request came from Iheya Village on an island off the coast of the Okinawa mainland with a population of about 1200. A COVID-19 cluster had developed there, so our staff contacted the town office, and they gladly received the chlorine that we sent via truck and boat to the remote island as their supplies were dwindling.
Thank you for your support of this important projejct in the ongoing uphill battle against the virus.
