Dear Friends,
We at Project Soar continue to be deeply grateful for you, our compassionate and committed community. Your steadfast support of teen girls in Gaza, especially through such turbulent times, is a powerful reminder of our shared belief: that every girl deserves dignity.
We want to share where we are with our efforts to provide menstrual kits to girls in Gaza. As you know, the humanitarian situation remains devastating. The recent escalation has made conditions even more challenging on the ground, particularly for women and girls. Despite this, we are working tirelessly to ensure the first shipment of kits - 1,800 in total - reaches the girls who need them most.
We’ve been in ongoing discussions with Médecins du Monde, our incredible distribution partner, and a major international shipping company to determine the safest and most efficient way to deliver these kits. While the worsening conditions in Gaza have created unavoidable delays, we remain steadfast in our commitment. Every day, we are pushing forward to make this vital delivery a reality.
On our side, we’ve used this time to make sure the Soar Hurya kit is as effective, empowering, and user-friendly as possible. Through a collaborative design process - including feedback from girls themselves - we refined eight prototypes to develop the final version of the kit that prioritises comfort, durability, and practicality, ensuring that the design truly meets their needs.
In parallel, we’ve been working closely with Hurya and menstrual health experts to adapt the kit and its educational brochure specifically for girls in Gaza, who are navigating increasingly resource-limited and high-stress environments. Our goal is to make sure the kit is not only functional, but also culturally appropriate and deeply sensitive to the current context.
Thank you for continuing to stand with us and with the girls of Gaza. Your generosity fuels this work and brings us closer to a world where no girl is left behind - especially when it comes to her health and dignity.
With gratitude,
The Project Soar Team
