Hello!
As my time with GlobalGiving comes to an end, I want to thank you for supporting our work in Japan this year.
In just three short months, I travelled all across Japan, visited 21 of our current partner NGO, conducted 6 fundraising workshops and met with countless amazing and inspiring leaders in fields ranging from disaster relief to animal protection. Not only did your support help me realise my dream of living in Japan but it also helped me, as a GlobalGiving representative, provide very important face to face support to help our partner NGOs raise more funds for their projects and be the most efficient fundraising they can be.
Through my travels, I had the rare opportunity to learn from and watch local leaders in Japan solve problems in their communities and make the world a better place. I am even more convinced that a community led effort is vital for any real change.
GlobalGiving is a brilliant platform filled with projects from local change makers beyond Japan and across the globe. I hope my three months in Japan will inspire you to continue to support local, community led organisations like the ones I had the pleasure to spend time with this year.
