Thanks to your support, during 2023 we were able to carry out a wide range of activities that seek to strengthen civil society organizations in Argentina, Latin America, and the Caribbean.
We worked strongly on growing our Network and expanded our membership to over 200 organizations. We held the second Members’ Assembly of the year, promoting a collaborative culture and building new bridges between CSOs and stakeholders linked to sustainable development.
In addition, according to our priority of Institutional Development, we continued to collaborate in the allocation of resources towards the Civic Society of Argentina and Region. We provided technical assistance to donors involved in International Cooperation in regard to the selection and fundraising of social projects. Resource mobilization has become one of our key areas of work: we co-managed 7 funds together with embassies, foundations and companies, that reached organizations in 25 countries of Latin America and the Caribbean. In total, we received 1099 proposals, supported 23 projects in the region, and mobilized over 280,000 USD.
Furthermore, we dictated several capacity-building workshops, sharing innovative tools with CSOs on matters such as Project Management, Strategic Planning, Access to International Cooperation, and Diversity & Inclusion. We launched a Training Course under the name: “Strengthening CSOs: Capacity-building cycle to improve the work of CSOs in Latin America and the Caribbean” which was open to organizations at a regional level and included relevant topics such as Strategic Communication, Advocacy, Work in Alliance and Volunteering.
Finally, pursuing our goal of Articulation/Networking, we seeked to amplify the actions of Civic Society at local, regional and international level, as well as to encourage collaborative work between CSOs, the promotion of multi sectorality and encouragement of new participation strategies (collective, democratic and deliberative).
