The Education Center is about 95% finished! Wow! This is so exciting. In the upstairs we have fans, lights and air conditioning. There is still some electrical work to do in the downstairs rooms but all the bathrooms and plumbing is finished in the whole building.
After the electrical work is finished in the downstairs we will then start to focus on furniture, desks, bookshelves, etc. for the rooms. And then start to think about landscape. Landscape is important for providing shade and to help with prevention of mud in the rainy season, which has just started.
Our first team stayed in the Education center recently. A high school team of 24 stayed in the facility in March Our team purchased beds and prepared a tidy room for them. They had a comfortable place to stay with showers and even air while they volunteered their time. It was a success.
