April:

A. Activities performed during April:

In April, Colobus Conservation handled a total of 21 animal welfare cases, focusing on various primate species:

  • Colobus: 7 cases
  • Sykes: 9 cases
  • Vervets: 3 cases
  • Lesser Galago: 1 case
  • Baboon: 1 case

B. Mentionable results:

  • Two Vervet monkeys and one infant Colobus were successfully treated and released back into their natural habitat.

Special Case: 

A Lesser Galago was admitted for long-term rehabilitation, receiving ongoing care and support from our team.

May:

A. Activities performed during May:

During May, Colobus Conservation responded to 21 animal welfare cases, addressing a diverse range of species:

  • Colobus: 7 cases
  • Sykes: 5 cases
  • Vervets: 4 cases
  • Baboons: 3 cases
  • Galago: 1 case
  • Green Pigeon: 1 case

B. Mentionable results:

  • Seven Vervet monkeys completed rehabilitation and were successfully released into Shimba Hills National Reserve.
  • Additionally, one Vervet monkey received treatment and was successfully released back into the wild.

June:

A. Activities performed during June:

In June, Colobus Conservation managed 22 animal welfare cases, with a focus on several primate species:

  • Sykes: 6 cases
  • Vervets: 5 cases
  • Baboons: 7 cases
  • Colobus: 4 cases

B. Mentionable results:

  • Two adult Vervet monkeys received treatment and were successfully released back into their natural habitat.
