Hello to all of our supporters!
As always, we want to start off by thanking our wonderful and committed supporters - your continued support allows to expand and scale our activities to ensure more girls around the world are introduced to the amazing array of female role models that exist, to demonstrate that they can be anything that they want to be!
It has been a busy start for Inspiring Girls in 2023! Below is an update to what has been achieved so far this year across our global network of Inspiring Girls chapters.
This last quarter, we have been delighted to announce the arrival of new country teams into our global network; we recently welcomed new country teams in Thailand and Canada and earlier in the year, we welcomed our first Sub-Saharan African team in Tanzania! Each of the new teams are excited to get their local campaigns underway are very busy already - we can’t wait to share their local successes with you very soon.
Here are just some of the recent local achievements and highlights from our global network:
Australia: The team launched the core Inspiring Girls program in a new school and secured activities with a key partner for the remainder of the year. They are keeping busy!
Brazil: The team are preparing for a busy a few months with planned workshops for June and July, with which they expect to reach a total of 50 girls. Inspiring Girls Brazil were extremely proud to have been the recent recipient of a prestigious Inspiring Women award during the International Women’s Day celebrations, with a special acknowledgement to their Country Chair, Corinne Giely.
Ecuador: The new team have secured 30 girl students to participate in the Women Economic Forum in Quito in September. We can’t wait to share the results later this year.
France: The team has recently conducted 13 talks, reaching over 500 children in primary and secondary schools. Excellent work by the team!
Mexico: The campaign has now been launched in the state of Morelos for the first time with a network of 35 influential women. We are looking forward to sharing the achievements in the new state.
Panama: The team now has opened a boutique to sell second-hand clothing and articles. It has been a great success and it is a way to raise money to pay for activities and any administration costs.
Singapore: In collaboration with the aircraft company Boeing, the team are coordinating a visit to their training facilities. The girls will try a flight experience simulator and will speak with role models in the aviation industry in a speed networking format.
UK: the team launched with a panel conference with 5 speakers and hosted by a Young Ambassador for International Women’s Day.
At Inspring Girls Headquarters we have recently launched our new three year organisational strategy, whichs take us until 2026 - our ten year anniversary at Inspiring Girls International! We have committed to an ambitious target to reach one million girls with an inspiring female role model by 2026! You can help us to do just that by continuing to support our work and sharing the message about what we do!
Many thanks once again from everyone at Inspiring Girls International, and if you ever need any more information about what we do, or how we do it, please don't hesitate to get in touch with us at hello@inspiring-girls.com.
Have a good summer!
Best wishes,
