Hello Supporters and Friends,
As we welcome 2025, we are pleased to share the latest updates and achievements from Inspiring Girls International. Your unwavering support continues to empower our mission, and we are excited to highlight recent developments and initiatives.
Our year began with welcoming the fifth cohort of girls to our 2025 International Youth Ambassador programme of strategic engagement, advocacy and leadership building. The group includes representatives nominated by 17 national Inspiring Girls teams in our global network (the largest group so far since we launched the programme in 2020!). Their involvement ensures that girls' voices remain at the very heart of our campaign, informing our strategy and helping drive change. We look forward to sharing more of their work with you over the coming months.
In celebration of International Women's Day 2025, we ran the #SheInspiresMe campaign, an initiative to shine a light on the role of male allyship in working toward gender equity, encouraging men to actively recognise and celebrate the women who have inspired them and contribute to the conversation to #AccelerateAction.
We are also delighted to announce the appointment in March of a new Chief Executive of Inspiring Girls International. Our new CEO brings a wealth of experience and passion to our organisation, and we look forward to her leadership in advancing our mission, particularly ahead of our campaign’s 10-year anniversary in 2026.
And in other news from around our global network…
Inspiring Girls Spain delivered the fourth edition of their Leadership and Business programme for girls in Madrid, Zaragoza and Barcelona. This programme connects girls with women leaders across a huge range of sectors - from biology to engineering and communications to public health - through talks and training sessions that inspire and empower.
In Singapore, 300 girls talked to an astonishing 51 women role models in a high energy speed-networking session. The girls engaged in empowering stories, listening to powerful stories of resilience and determination.
Inspiring Girls Panama delivered an exciting session for girls on solar energy and sustainable mobility. Girls heard directly from an inspiring STEM role model in the energy sector, and actively participated in dynamics that allowed them to learn more about renewable energies and their impact on the world.
Did you know that 70% of girls feel differently about their future after hearing from women role models? Inspiring Girls USA is delivering its hugely popular #BooksAndBridges campaign again during March for Women's History Month, which encourages girls to read stories about real-life women role models to younger audiences. Just by picking up a book, they inspire the next generation while discovering the journeys of trailblazing women who were once just like them.
Hundreds of girls and women role models came together for a fantastic event for Inspiring Girls Hong Kong’s innovative EmpowerHer Future programme, which helps girls grasp essential financial knowledge to better plan their careers and dreams.
And Inspiring Girls France celebrated the incredible French sailors who tackled the Vendée Global solo round-the-world race. As our global sporting campaign #PassTheTorch highlighted last summer, sport plays a hugely important role in the lives of girls, fostering resilience, leadership, team-work and determination.
Thank you for your continued support and dedication to our mission. Together, we are making a difference in the lives of girls worldwide, empowering them to pursue their dreams without limitations!
Best wishes to you all,
Trish
