The Minister of education has decided to introduce an E-learning platform for school pupils and university students. But there is are big questions attached to this facility to be access by pupils and students. Most of these pupils do not have access to digital device to access the facility and if they have access, they are unable to support the facility. Now Concern Mother Movement for women's in development Sierra Leone want to provide 10, 000 solar power radios which cost $40,000.
Sierra Leone is a post epidemic country with the outbreak of the Ebola in 2015 which left people homeless and destroy thousands of lives. The outbreak of the Ebola course series problem to the educational system in Sierra Leone as 45% of the schools got pregnant due to the measures that was put in place by the government. Now again, the country has experience similar outbreak but this is corona virus which has coursed very serious damage the education sector in the country.
This project will help solved the problem of : Providing virtual and e-learning opportunity to 4,000 pupils in Sierra Leone help encourage hand washing among people living in the rural areas of Sierra Leone provision of House to House sensitization on effect teenage pregnancy during this pandemic Provision of face mask, hand washing basin and soap.
The long term impact of is to help in the achievement of Sustainable development goal 5 ( quality education) amidst the global pandemic. it will also help to reduce domestic violence and teenage pregnancy as it was notice in the last ebola outbreak in 2015.
