The Rotary club of Narayangarh has developed a guideline for the scholrship fund mobilization, which was approved by its 10th board meeting of the rota year 2023-24. The fund 930 USD raised by globalgiving platform, 1000 USD donated by a US based rotary club in Seattle and around 1,800 USD raised from the club members is deposited in a fixed deposit account maintained at Shine Resunga bank limited with an interest rate of 9.5% for two years period. Mr. Dipendra Shrestha is selected as the coordinator for the scholarship fund mobilization program. The interest money will be used to provide scholarship materials (uniform, books, stationeries, bag, shoes, ties) for at least 5 students a year.

By the end of June 2024, Rotary Club of Narayangarh became able to raise funds about 500,000 NPR (3,850 USD) for the scholarship endowment fund. 930 USD was raised through globalgiving and the rest was raised by the individual rotarians on the occassions of their marriage ceremonies and birthdays. The total fund was deposited in a fixed deposit (FD) account maintained at Shine Resunga Development bank, Narayangarh branch at an interest rate of 9.2% (FD Certificate attached). A simple guideline has been developmed to operate this fund and selection of the poor and intelligent students from government schools. A 7 membered management sub-committee in the leadership of Mr. Deependra Shrestha has been formed. This sub-committee has started the selection of right students for the scholarship.

Rotary Club of Narayangarh has initiated an endowment fund for the 10 poor and talent students studying in classess 1-12 of Chitwan and Tanahu districts of Nepal by targeting to raise around 5,000 USD. It has reached about 900 USD (18% of the target). RC Narayangarh has already established an endowment fund by opening a fixed deposit account in Shine Resunga Development Bank, Narayangarh branch in Chitwan. The agreed interest rate of the FD is 8.0%. The club hs also started to draft a scholarship distribution guideline in the chairmanship of Mr. Dipendra Shrestha. One the full target is met, the club will distribute (i) school uniforms (ii) school bag (iii) stationaries and (iv) shoes to 10 poor and talent students selected from various governmental schools. A students selected for this scholarship will get these materials support till he/she passes class 12th. Once he/she passes out standard 12th, then next student will be selected for the same support each year, and this way, the fund will be life-long support to the poor students.
