One of our senior and promision participants completed the training of Student Volunteer program (SVP) in Kampala. This has been a program provided by our partner Brass for Africa to empower and prepare learners to be come music teachers and future leaders.
After the successful of participant's application, He went in Kampala - Uganda for a month from begining of May until beginning of June to attend the training about how to prepare music lesson, class management, curriculum development, etc. After a month of training, he came back at our center and started to assist his teacher as well as his fellow senior students so as to help all 130 participants in Brass band we are training today. We see him with more potential for development and tranforming more lives of less privilleged children and youth.
As also part of this project, our two participants are still attending monthly All-star band in Kampala to strengthen their music skills. We look forward to seeing them bringing thier experience in our bands.
We are still in need of support for this project so that we can be able to empower our senior learners to become music teachers next year. My appreciation goes to you donors and our friends who always support our projects.
Thank you so much!
