The phase three of the building clinic project in Nyitawuta started in January 2022, because it was in the dry season sending materials to the community was not very difficult though the road is still bad.
The carpenters had a team on board made up of community members who provided the labor, they completed working on the laying of the woods that will allow the roofing sheets to be installed.
A company was contracted who went to the community to do the measurement for the total cost of installing the roofing sheets. The community members normally roof their buildings with thatch and that is why we had to bring a company who fabricates roofing sheets all the way from Accra –Tema. This was completed successfully.
The electrical work was also started immediately the roofing was completed. The electrical engineer went to do the assessment after which the first part of the work was done. The first part included laying of the pipes that will carry all the cables and also fixing of conduit boxes.
The first part of the plumber’s work was also completed. This included laying of all the pipes that water will pass through. Again, the plumber was brought from Accra to do the work.
The carpenters came in again to work on wooden frames for the windows and this have been installed. Finally, the masons have also started plastering the entire building and work is still on going.
The total cost of the Phase3 as at 15th May is Ghc 55,309.3 in the local currency. The total expenditure in USD is $7,374.57 at an exchange rate of 7.5
We thank God for how far He Has brough us and trust God that we can fund raise to bring the work to completion. If we are able to raise the next $12,000.00, we will bring this project to a completion and the dream of having a clinic in Nyitawuta will become a reality. Together with the entire community of Nyitawua thank GlobalGiving, our donors for making this possible.
